Edinburgh denied Glasgow Warriors coach Gregor Townsend a decent farewell after beating their Scottish rivals 18-29 at Scotstoun earlier today.

Despite the loss, though, the Warriors still managed to win back the 1872 Cup with a close 43-41 aggregate on the last day of the season.

Each face-off between the two huge Scottish teams always draws the attention of the city’s elites, and this fixture was no different.

Apart from other famous personalities, today’s game at Scotstoun was witnessed by members of the highest echelons of Rangers FC, which included manager Pedro Caixinha, former club owner and chairman Sir Paul Murray, and managing director Stewart Robertson.
