Joe Garner scored a dramatic last minute winner as Rangers came from behind to secure a hard fought 2-1 win over Partrick Thistle at Firhill on Sunday.
Partrick Thistle looked to be heading for their first win over Rangers since 1993 when Kris Doolan nodded home in the first half but an inspired showing from Rangers in the final 10 minutes saw the Light Blues come away with a precious three points that secured European football for next season.
While Joe Garner made headlines with the winner, it was Rangers winger Barrie Mckay that proved to be the catalyst for Rangers’s dramatic comeback; the winger inspiring the away side with the equalizing goal following his introduction from the bench late in the match. As spectacular as his goal was, a cool finish under Cerny, it was a couple of sublime touches that he took in the build up to the goal that stood out.
The world class touches from Mckay enabled the winger to glide past the home defence effortlessly as he tucked under Cerny for the equalizing goal.
