With the impressive loan stint of Manchester City youngster Patrick Roberts coming to an end, Celtic FC have reportedly lined up Serbian midfielder Srdan Plavsic as a replacement for Roberts.
While not being a household name, Plavsic has had a fantastic season in his native Serbia scoring eight goals for Red Star Belgrade in the Serbian SuperLiga.
The diminutive midfielder cum winger nicknamed the ‘Atomic ant’ for his short stature had in the past drawn comparisons to Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta. Blessed with a pace to burn along with an arsenal of sublime tricks and skills, the 21 year old certainly seems to fit the mould of players that Rodgers has prioritised signing for Celtic in the past.
Plavsic also seems to have an instinctive eye for goal as evidenced from the video footage below with Plavsic scoring a worldie for Red Star Belgrade in their match against FK Napredak in the Serbian league.
