Anybody who doubts a goalkeeper’s ability to assist strikers in scoring goals must see what Wes Foderingham almost managed to achieve during his side’s 2-1 win against Hearts yesterday.
The Rangers shot-stopper found the ball in his hands after a Hearts attack was thwarted. Ignoring calls of outfield players to play the ball up, Foderingham decided to find striker Barrie McKay amazingly between two opponent defenders.
McKay managed to touch the perfect pass but could not hold on to it as the ball was kicked away to the safe hands of the Hearts keeper.
