Tottenham Hotspur signed off a memorable 2016/17 season in style as they lifted the AIA Cup in Hong Kong after defeating local Champions FC Kitchee in their post season friendly.
Apart from seeing their favourite players before the match, Pochettino also named a strong starting XI much to the delight of the enthusiastic crowd.
Star striker Harry Kane also finally made his appearance in Hong Kong coming from the bench to score one of the goals in the match.
But while the appearance of a full-strength Spurs XI will have surely delighted the crowd, a latest development involving Harry Kane will surely endear the striker to football fans around the world.
Post-match, the President of SC Kitchee Ken K. Ng revealed on his Facebook account that Kane not wanting to let the fans down made the appearance in the AIA Cup despite being utterly sick since his arrival in Hong Kong.
Truly a class gesture from a class player. Check out the Google tranalted part of the Facebook post below:
A lot of fans didn’t think Harry Kane was going to practice. He wasn’t expected to show up in the game, but he was still kicking 15 minutes.
Many people do not know that when he arrived in Hong Kong, he had been infected with an unknown virus and the second day of arrival in Hong Kong was admitted to the hospital.
Since his vomiting was very serious, the body lacked water, so he had to hang salt water and eventually stayed in the hospital for one night.
A lot of team activity and pre-game practice has not been attended, but the heat stabbed for Harry and the fans, and eventually he kicked him for minutes.
