Tottenham Hotspur never forgets its former players. The club had an eventful last few weeks of the season, which also involved a farewell to their stadium.
The White Hart Lane, which served as a faithful home to the club and its fans for 118 long years, hosted its last ever game with a clash against Manchester United last month.
To commemorate the event, Tottenham decided to gift of its current and former directors, players and managers a special edition club tie designed by former Spurs player Dave Mackay’s company.
And it wasn’t limited to those present during the match, as former Spurs midfielder Rafael van der Vaart was also a recipient of this beautiful tie.
The Dutchman wrote the following message along with an image of him posing with the special gift (seen below) on his Twitter – “Thanks @spursofficial for Spurs club tie in memory of #Whitehartlane. Proud to be part of the football history #thfc #COYS”
