While Liverpool’s pursuit of defender Virgil van Dijk hit a sudden roadblock over irregularities and non-compliance of rules, the same in the case of Mohamed Salah seems to be highly unclear.
While the Reds and their boss Jurgen Klopp have shown keen interest in the winger for quite some time now, Roma warned Liverpool against initiating talks for his transfer, with their coach Eusebio Di Francesco insisting very dramatically that Roma is “not a supermarket.”
With 19 goals and 15 assists in all competitions for his club last season, Salah has been on target for many top clubs, while Liverpool’s initial £28 million bid for the player’s signature is said to have been rejected.
But Liverpool fans would be happy to note that a presenter on middle east-based channel Bein Sports, who have been quite reliable with their info on this transfer, claimed that the Egyptian is close to signing for Merseyside outfit with a photoshopped image of Salah in the new Liverpool home kit.
Not content with that, the presenter went on to solidify his claim by adding that Salah will be a star at Anfield in no time.
The Egyptian winger could actually turn out to be just what Liverpool need for big challenges next season. If the presenter’s prediction comes true, that is.
