The anticipated opening of the transfer window is still a few days away, however, most try to sign their targeted players early lest they face competition from other clubs later on.

One club that has been conducting its transfer business quite smartly this season is Manchester City, who had a rather disappointing 16/17 season going by their high aspirations and ostentatious spendings. Pep Guardiola would definitely like to prove his philosophy is not a farce and reaffirm his status as the world’s numero uno manager.

City have already bought Ederson and Bernardo Silva, two players that subscribe to Guardiola’s fast moving and passing style and they are now linked with a host of world class superstars ranging from Alexis Sanchez to Virgil Van Djik.

Another player that has apparently attracted the attention of the Citizens is Tottenham’s Kyle Walker. The fullback was rumored to have a fall out with Mauricio Pochettino as the Spurs boss had doubts over Walker’s fitness and the performances in training. If minutes are indicative of a player’s likeliness to stay, then Walker looks likely to be out of the door.

However, Spurs fans still love the right back, as an old clip of Walker where he is seen pledging allegiance to his club, has started doing the rounds again. During an Instagram live session by one of the Spurs players back in February this year, Walker was caught on cam saying “Tottenham Till I Die”.

Maybe Spurs fans should send an image of the 16/17 league table to Walker, while highlighting Tottenham’s and City’s positions. That should help, shouldn’t it?
