“Good enough for Premier League”- Leeds fans will love this bit of intel on rumored target Ezgjan Alioski

Ezgjan Alioski is the name Leeds United fans are frantically searching for on the internet nowadays as rumors broke out that the 25 year old Macedonian is close to joining Yorkshire club.

Quite unsurprisingly, the arrival of new manager Thomas Christiansen will result in a change of playing style from that of former manager Garry Monk. With Christiansen reportedly trying to bring in Cruyff philosophy in Leeds, there is little doubt that signing a player like Ezgjan Alioski would help realize that goal.

Known as Gianni among his fans and friends, Ezgjan is well loved in both Switzerland (plays for Lugano FC) and Macedonia. One can forgive Leeds fans for being a little unfamiliar with his works as he is hardly a household name, however, the bare statics alone show why Leeds fans should be excited after Swiss newspaper Blick linked the Championship club with a summer swoop.

Alioski scored 17 goals and produced 14 assists in a remarkable individual campaign. In fact, only three players in the Switzerland top flight hit the back of the net on a more regular basis.

According to @MacedonianFooty, a Twitter account dedicated to all things Macedonian football, Alioski is already perfectly suited to play in the highest tier of football in England.

With Stamina, agility, and eye for goals and assists Alioski can be a perfect fit for Leeds and help them get that elusive promotion to Premier League.

  1. Our main priority is defence. We need to spend what it takes (£7.5m) to bring Kyle Bartley back if he will come …
Born Captain and a collussus at the back alongside Puntus…
    That should be our priority….
