They say “Good things happen to those who wait” and Liverpool fans must be hoping that the quote turns out to be cent percent true in their case as their team has been strong linked to RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita, but a move has not yet materialised.

It has been a true test of patience for the red half of Merseyside, and out of desperation, just like every human being, they have tried to find a shortcut to this issue.

A Twitter page named Liverpool Offside posted a tongue in cheek joke by devising a master-plan to secure the signature of Naby Keita by asking fans to boycott Red Bull and buy Monster Energy drinks. He also threw some light upon the math behind this plan, and although it wasn’t very logical, it was enough to convince some fans.

RB Leipzig is owned by Red Bull and a fall in the demand for their flagship energy drink will cause some problems to the company. But it’s far fetched to think that the theory may actually work considering the strength of Liverpool fans may not be enough to cause a big dent in Red Bull’s pocket.

Full marks for creativity though, Liverpool offside.
