One of the first issues that Jose Mourinho tried to address after being appointed as United’s manager in the beginning of this season was the trouble in their defense due to the lack of squad depth and he found the perfection solution in the form of Ivorian international Eric Bailly.

He was signed from Villareal for a transfer fee of around £30m. The 22-year-old wasted no time in settling to the atmosphere in Manchester and was straightaway placed in the first team.

The ex- Villareal man put up really solid performances for the Red Devils and won everyone’s faith with his pace, strength and presence in the air, but, his good run came to an end after he suffered a knee injury in October. Fortunately, the centre back returned stronger than ever and reinstated his place in the starting lining up.

United fans are overall really happy with Bailly, and they were even more excited with the way their defender announced his return back to the club for pre-season training.

The former Espanyol man posted a photo on Instagram captioned ” I’m Back”. He was looking very sharp, determined and happy. It looks like he’s completely ready for the new season and will give his all to win everything there is in a United jersey.

I’m back! 🔥
