Things haven’t looked very rosy for Tottenham this transfer window as the only piece of business they have done till now has been the sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City.

The deal has earned them decent bank balance, but until the cash is reinvested productively, it will hardly be beneficial for the club.

The club is in talks with Portugese side Porto to sign right-back Ricardo Pereira, who will come into the side as a second choice to Keiran Trippier, but an agreement over the player looks tough to be done as Porto want the London based club to trigger the player’s £22 million release clause.

Every football fan expects a long serving player to be loyal, so it must have been upsetting for the Spurs camp to see Walker depart at such a crucial moment when the club has a great side and is looking to challenge for the Title.

But amongst the whole Walker chaos, there’s been a subtle, but passionate display of love by midfielder Victor Wanyama for Spurs, and the fans are absolutely loving it.

After the former right back left, keen eyed Spurs fans noticed that the Kenyan International unfollowed the former right back on Instagram.

It was surely refreshing for the fans to see such a level of affection from a player towards the club, and the fans will wish the best for Wanyama in the upcoming season.

Check out the reaction from Spurs fans below –

  1. Walkers gone so just forget him.He did not do a judas Sol on us so lets forget him and move on.I suspect in the future he will have his own problems.

  2. I think it’s ridiculous worry about a squad strength. This is what I think our second 11 is. If we sign Barkley

    Pau Lopez/Vorm

Kyle walker peters, Carter Vickers, wimmer, Davies

    Onahma, Winks

    Lamela, Barkley, Marcus Edwards

Now I know you might think Onahma KWP and CCV May well be weak links but all 3 have bags of potential and will only get better with game time just look at Winks and Alli for examples.
If we sign Barkley then there will be only 1 area of worry which is Janssen. But I would be prepared to give him 1 more season as we did the same with Lamela and Son.

We also have Sissoko and Ndouku and who knows with a proper preseason behind them could be good cover.

1 signing Ross Barkley and put faith in the academy as we have done before and it’s only helped our club become what it is today. COYS
