After signing Salah in the initial phases of the transfer window, Liverpool fan must’ve thought that things will turn out to be more eventful for the Reds in the upcoming couple of months.

Unfortunately, it has been the exact opposite till now, thanks to the everlasting Virgil van Dijk saga, and now, to add on to more frustration, the Naby Keita episode.

Keita was Leipzig’s engine room last season, pulling off amazing performances week in – week out, finally earning a thoroughly deserved place in the Bundesliga Team of the Season.

The Central Midfielder has been linked with the Red half of Merseyside since the beginning of the transfer window, and if reports are to be believed, Leipzig have already turned down a €68 million bid for their man. Liverpool is expected to table an improved bid later this week.

Fans have been scratching their head because of the evident confusion over the former Red Bull Salzburg man’s future, and his latest social media activity will only exacerbate the situation.

The Guinean international was spotted ‘liking’ a post from one his friends ‘seydoubanesta888’ who wished him good luck for his ‘next’ contract. The wording of the caption is very misleading and has divided opinions amongst the Liverpool Camp.

Some fans believe that Keita will sign a new contract with Lepzig, and they have a solid point as Keita’s buddy can be seen wearing a Leipzig t-shirt, whereas some fans claim that the friend wanted to write ‘new’ instead of ‘next’, and Keita will soon be a Liverpool.

One thing’s for sure, the fans will be hope that this ‘on-off’ saga ends soon. Only time will tell what will happen.
