It’s been a long time since Leeds United were last seen in the Premier League. Despite their best efforts, the West Yorkshire haven’t even made it to the play-offs in the recent memory. However, with the kind of lineup that has surfaced online, there’s a possibility.

On paper, this starting XI does look a formidable one. The backline conceded 47 goals last season, which doesn’t give a account of itself. But considering this was the third best record in the league last season, maintaining these standards would lay the foundations.

There isn’t much changes in the midfield, although the biggest thing to happen to Leeds this summer is the addition of Samuel Saiz. The Spaniard has had quite a resounding time at Huesca in Spain’s second tier, and replicating the same form in the Championship would definitely mean an immense boost.

Aiding him in the attack is last season’s most prolific player, Chris Wood, who took home the Golden Boot with an impressive 27 strikes, which was also his career best in the Championship. The New Zealand international has witnessed a rise in his stock in the recent years, and with an improved support system, should take it up a notch further.

This Leeds side may not be the best side to be assembled, but it does have potential. It does raises hope.
