Another day, another little ray of hope for Liverpool fans to see Virgil Van Dijk donning the famous red jersey soon. The internet has been filled with rumours about Van Dijk’s future since the beginning of the transfer window, and frankly, no one can be blamed because the saga has taken so many twists and turns that it looks like something straight out of a Hollywood movie.

Back in June, the Van Dijk deal was almost complete, with only personal terms remaining to be confirmed, when suddenly Southampton accused Liverpool, who also happen to be their most loyal customers in the transfer window, of approaching their man illegally. The Merseyside club immediately apologised and pulled out the deal.

One of Van Dijk’s close friends though, who goes by the username ‘philipuby’ on Instagram, has been in the news amongst the Liverpool fans, and his latest social media activity will only make the whole episode more intense.

He had earlier uploaded an Instagram post along with Van Dijk with a cryptic message (see above) few days ago.

And now, to make matters more interesting, VVD’s friend was spotted liking a comment on the same post which translated to ‘Dream = Liverpool ’. Check out the screenshot below –

Not very long ago, Philip caught the eye of supporters when he liked a photoshopped image of his dear friend in new Liverpool home kit.

What will happen next is still uncertain, but the fans will hope that their club signs the Dutch defender soon and put an end to this endless story.
