Spurs make a howler in setting ticket prices for friendly
The preseason match between Tottenham and Juventus, is set for an exciting showdown at the Wembley Stadium. However, Spurs fans are absolutely livid with the pricing scheme that has been presented to them, scoffing at the the starting seat value, which has undergone an increase from £10 to £24. An approximate 150% hike from last campaign.
It seems that the Tottenham Supporters Trust has not been consulted for the preseason pricing strategy and it could result in a massive boycott on match day. With a total capacity of 90000 at Wembley, it is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate the club’s stature by encouraging the crowd to turn up in huge numbers, but by inflating the costs, Tottenham have surely missed a trick.
A third party, named ‘Ticketmaster’ was chosen to manage the sales, leading to a lot of flak on social media from the old faithful who believe they are being exploited for the sake of profit. The North London Club are moving on from their beloved White Hart Lane and will have to use the National Team stadium for a part of the new season and if this is a sign of times ahead then the COYS chanters are in for a severe hit on their pockets.
