Liverpool fans have been facing repeated breakdowns every time they come across news relating to hot target Naby Keita, who is said to have dominated the Reds’ shopping list for several weeks now.

Media reports have only taken the midfielder away from Merseyside, taking along with them all the patience fans’ could muster in hopes of his transfer.

Things turned from bad to worse recently when RB Leipzig’s owner virtually killed chances of Keita’s move to Anfield by declaring: “We don’t sell any of our players just to get money. Lately we got a €75m offer for Naby Keïta. No way! He has a contract and he will accomplish it.”

Another imminent outcry from Reds supporters is understandable, but perhaps they would be assured to know how their manager has been handling all these issues lately.

Beautifully articulated by @AnfieldRd96, here’s Jurgen Klopp’s reaction to the news of Nabi Keita’s bid being rejected yet again. Maybe the Liverpool fans need to take a leaf from his book –

  1. Liverpool fans may be disappointed their Manager has not succeeded with his last bid for Naby Keita and that the Virgil van Dyjk efforts to recruit him have not succeeded but unlike Manchester United supporters we understand that both those players have contracts with their present clubs who are entitled to hold them to those.
Where VvD or Naby play next season we will not give them aggravation as Manchester United did to Alan Shearer – that is not the Liverpool way. Nevertheless, if their parent clubs find a trade with Liverpool is acceptable our fans will be pleased. If not we shall wish them well and thank our club for being able to retain our players for next season.
