Chelsea began their pre-season campaign by annihilating cross town rivals Fulham 8-2 in a match played behind closed doors at Chelsea’s training ground Cobham. It was a game full of positives for the Premier League champions and they will be looking to build upon the performance and carry the amazing form to the upcoming China and Singapore tour.

One person who would particularly be looking to impress Conte this pre-season in order to get more playing time will be Chelsea’s Spanish pass-master Cesc Fabregas, and it looks like his latest training ground exploits will mean that the Italian coach will surely be spoilt for choice when it’ll come to choosing players for the team’s Central Midfield.

The ex- Arsenal man is known for his creativity and pinpoint passing, but even by his standards, his assist in one of Chelsea’s recent training sessions was commendable.

He received a pass from out wide, lifted the ball, and provided an amazing lobbed backheel assist to set up a goal for the incoming player at the near post. The outrageous alertness projected by the man, coupled with the magical backheel had all the ingredients for a mesmerizing piece of play.

Fabregas was regularly used by Conte as a substitute last season, and still managed to rack up an impressive figure of 13 assists. With the arrival of Bakayoko, the ex-Barca man will have to fight hard to get a place into the starting line-up. Although, if he continues providing such wordlie assists, he will surely get a place on the team sheet.
