Leeds United had to make do with a hastily-arranged training match with Turkish side Bursaspor at a very short notice after a pre-arranged clash against Germany’s FC Ingolstadt was cancelled at the last moment on Sunday.

Blame it on lack of an opportunity to study their opponents at the eleventh hour, or simply accept the fact that the Peacocks were under prepared: Leeds were humbled with a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bursaspor in their first pre-season under Thomas Christiansen.

Despite good performances from veterans as well as new signings, the loss only went on to raise questions on Leeds’ preparations and fitness levels. But there was one moment in the game that will make fans believe in their club’s potential again.

Defender Liam Cooper produced a sublime pass right from the half line that went on to find Dallas Stuart perfectly, although it was ruled off-side by the referee eventually.

  1. His distribution has always been very good and if he could just cut out the errors then he would be a very good player. I think he try’s too hard to do the right thing every time when sometimes it would be better to just put it out of the ground.
