Leeds United have apparently begun their preparations for the pre-season in Austria, where they are currently grounding. However, the team had an unusual visitor this day as a Japanese fan turned up for their training and clicked photographs with them.
Named Asahi Ueda, the Japanese international traveled all the way from Tokyo to Austria to meet the players of his favourite club and the pictures doing the rounds online, suggest he can’t hide his ecstasy.
The Leeds faithful has posted four pictures on his Twitter account with four different Leeds players, and each one features the Asian holding a Leeds United club membership card in his hand with his name printed on it.
Whilst it was truly a fan boy moment for him, the sheer amount of passion he displayed here just signifies the very essence of football. That the game, is more than just a game.
Though his facial expressions were a subject of mockery to the fans, what one must really appreciate is the amount of love he harbors for the club. Something that’s really moving and refreshing to see.
