Eternal rivals Chelsea and Arsenal resumed hostilities earlier than usual this season, albeit in much lesser hostile environments. Whilst there’s still a fortnight to go before the North London outfits officially commence the season with a Community Shield game, they were pitted against each other in a pre-season friendly game in the U.S.
Chelsea were comfortable 3-0 winners as Willian and a brace from Batshuayi gunned the Gunners down. However, with a video clip that emerged just hours after the game, there seems more humiliation for Arsenal.
The clip shows Blues’ new boy Jeremie Boga embarrassing Aaron Ramsey with a breath-taking skill.
Amid a run of play in the game, Boga tries to instigate an attack with a lightening quick dummy that left Ramsey loose his footing. The sheer quality of this piece of skill demonstrates the prodigious talent that the 20-year old is. And for all the quality that Ramsey himself is, that came out really humiliating for him.
Boga may not have got his name on the scoresheet, but was one of the star performers of the match with an absolutely thrilling display that has definitely left a lasting impact on manager Conte.
Of the several promising moments he’s had in the game, this skill, this one moment, stands out; brightest. Check it out below –
