Liverpool continued their pre-season for the 2017/18 campaign with a complacent 2-1 win over Premier League rivals Leicester City in Hong Kong in front of a packed stadium. The fans were obviously excited to witness their favourite teams in action, but some even went a step ahead to express their love through chants and banners. Just like this guy here.

Evidently a Liverpool fan, this Hong Konger didn’t just appear in Liverpool’s latest jersey, but also brought along a huge banner that reads highly of the Reds captain Jordan Henderson.

The England international may be one of the lesser glamorous players in the squad, away from limelight most of the time, but the value that he brings to to the team in undeniable. Having taken up the captainship mantle from Steven Gerrard, Henderson has thrived in his added responsibility and now finds himself more involved than ever.

That’s exactly what the fan is singing praises about. The 27-year old’s exceptional work rate sees him cover every blade of the grass, and that has been subject of a witty banter.

Henderson is one of those few midfielders who exercise as much a profound influence in a game without garnering much attention, but leave a lasting impact. Last season may have been blighted by injuries, but his promising display in the game here shows he’s ready to cover up for all the lost time.
