New kit brings back old memories for the Hammers
West Ham fans have been given a peek into their third kit for 2017/18 season. The jersey, which leaked online yesterday, sports a faint blue texture and has apparently gone on sale in Singapore.
The logo is reminiscent of their season in 1923 when the Hammers reached their first FA Cup final.
West Ham have invested deeply into their squad this season bringing in players like Javier Hernandez and Joe Hart. The demands of playing in one of the biggest stadiums in England produced a counter effect last season as they struggled to keep up with their fellow London rivals.
Slaven Bilic has been increasingly confident of his side’s ability to contend for a top half finish this time around and fans too have been bullish about their chances going into the new season.
Linked with William Carvalho recently, the Hammers might just end up breaking their transfer record before the window closes. For now they will have to make do with their new kit release which looks quite the part.
