Despite technology replacing human judgement in almost all facets of life these days, it would still be reasonable to expect outcomes laden with a few errors.
But one such error committed by BBC recently is definitely not pardonable.
During the live telecast of Rangers’ second match of the season against Hibernian on Saturday, substitute Carlos Pena’s replacement with Alfredo Morelos was shown with a Celtic badge instead of that of Rangers, effectively indicating that the duo play for Celtic.
Now, such a mistake would have been casually brushed aside had it been any other club, but given the history that Celtic and Rangers share, fans only need the smallest of opportunities to grab each others’ necks.
