There are few players in the Premier League who love handshakes as much as Tottenham’s Dele Alli does, but it looks like even that might change soon.
The Spurs star joined Ben Davies in scoring for the club and securing a 2-0 win over Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on Sunday’s season-opener.
Alli, who was involved in Magpies captain Jonjo Shelvey’s first half sending off, scored his first goal of the season by converting Christian Eriksen’s cross into a neat finish that found the back of the net in the 61st minute.
What was an amazing moment for the player, soon got weird when he was celebrating the goal with his team-mates. Right when Alli raised his fist for a celebratory handshake with Heung-Min Son, the latter responded with a few misdirected knocks on his head instead!
No more handshakes for Sonny after this. Check out the hilarious moment below –
Sonny shows off his new handshake, don’t think Dele will put up with that one for too long. 😂 pic.twitter.com/uMm3BQlbk1
