Celtic’s Champions League playoff first leg at home against Kazakhstan based club Astana was more like a walk in the park for the Hoops. The Scottish giants annihilated Astana 5-0 with Scott Sinclair bagging a brace.
The sides meet again on Tuesday in Kazakhstan for the second leg, but that game now seems like a formality, thanks to the result on Wednesday.
The game was filled with refreshing moments for the fans, but this particular moment involving a classy gesture from manager Brendan Rodgers will definitely stand out amongst the supporters.
After the game ended, Rodgers went on to acknowledge the fans whilst pointing towards Nir Bitton and patting his back, appreciating his contribution in the game.
This act from the boss will be a very big morale booster for the Israeli defender, who has received some stick from the fans for his performances in the past.
