Pic: Chelsea new boy shows his appreciation for Tottenham star Dele Alli on social media

Sunday’s 2-1 win over Tottenham might not have been a big personal victory for new Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, but it looks like that it did not dent his spirits one bit.

The Spaniard started the game up front but missed a few close chances that could have resulted in a dream debut for the new Chelsea signing. It was eventually compatriot Marcos Alonso who grabbed all the limelight by scoring both goals for his side.

Nevertheless, Morata was later delighted for being able to swap shirts with Spurs star Dele Alli after the game. In fact, he even took to his Instagram account to post a personal thank you note addressed to the Spurs number 20.

The two London clubs are known for the fierce local rivalry they have been practicing for years, but Morata surely knows a thing or two about fair play, at least enough to appreciate his opponents.

  1. Dele Alli = cheating, diving little scrote. No class, just like the rest of the Spuds team.

How I’m going to enjoy watching them losing cup final after cup final at their new ‘home. LOL.

    Cockmunchers.
