Football has always been more than just a sport, more than just two teams competing for glory. The spirit of the game has the ability to inspire people, give joy to them in an unprecedented manner. And Liverpool just set an example of how a club can enrich the lives of the fans.
The Merseyside club and the Make-A-Wish Foundation came together to help Reds fan Loyd Wildridge’s dream come into reality.
17-year-old Loyd, who has learning difficulties, anaphylaxis & undiagnosed encephalitis is a massive Liverpool fan and wished of meeting Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. His wishes came true when Loyd and his family were invited by the club to it’s Melwood training base to meet the Liverpool boss and players.
Loyd also got to sit down with manager Jurgen Klopp and quiz him about his favourite colour as well as show off his impression of the German’s touchline antics.
