Tottenham Hotspur well and truly announced their long due arrival onto the echelons of Europe’s elite clubs as they inflicted a humbling 3-1 defeat on European Champions Real Madrid at the Wembley Stadium on Wednesday.

While the landmark win was a real team effort, the performance of one player perhaps deserved to be singled out for praise. Kieran Trippier arguably had his best performance to date with the fullback unplayable in attack and resolute in defense.

Trippier also apparently left his own fans in disbelief when he left behind his old safe self and successfully took on not one but two opposition players in Isco and Marcelo during one instance of the game.

The particular incident left the Spurs fans in a joyful astonishment with the praises pouring in for Trippier on social media. Check it out below –
