Manchester United’s title hopes took a severe blow as current champions Chelsea inflicted a damaging 1-0 loss on the early title chasers at Stamford Bridge.
While it was Alvaro Morata’s headed goal that decided the points between the two heavyweights, Blues midfielder Cesc Fabregas proved the star of the match with the Spaniard’s influential midfield role spurring Chelsea on to an eventual victory.
Fabregas’ performance was on a whole other level with United struggling to get to grips for the entirety of the seventy-five minutes that he played on the pitch.
The 30-year old’s virtuoso performance was highlighted just about perfectly in one instance of the match where he was seen executing a sublime dummy pass from Hazard to free up Morata in the final third of the pitch.
