A young and inexperienced England side held World Champions Germany to a goalless draw at Wembley in what was a hugely encouraging performance from the Three Lions.
The match offered a glimpse of what could be in the future for England as the youngsters impressed thoroughly on the night. Tottenham full-back Kieran Trippier was among the many that impressed with the defender putting in a complete performance in just his second senior international game.
Trippier’s whipped crosses as well as his skills on the ball were on full display throughout the match. Perhaps the most impressive moment was when Trippier managed to string together his trademark cross, a Ronaldinho-esque first touch and a back-heel pass all in one swift move that left England and Spurs fans drooling.
