Few players can boast to have the envious and almost impossible record of turning up for both Liverpool and Manchester United.
And while former Kop striker Michael Owen made the move during the swansong years of his career, it still served to tarnish his revered standing among the Kop faithful.
Occasionally berated by the Liverpool faithful for his United switch, Owen, now a Liverpool ambassador once again came under a lot of criticism from the fans when he revealed that he was desperate for Manchester United to sign him back in 2009.
Speaking on a French TV show, Owen revealed how grateful & thankful he was to be able to join Man United.
Needless to say, fans were not so impressed with an ambassador of the club talking about his desperation to join one of the club’s greatest rivals.
Didn't think it was possible to hate even more the fact Michael Owen is LFCs ambassador, how the club can watch him express how desperate he was to play for Utd & do nothing is beyond me
