Pic: The genius dummy from Mesut Ozil we all missed during Arsenal’s 2nd goal v Spurs

Thanks to first half goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal secured a much needed 2-0 win against arch rivals Tottenham on Saturday.

Mesut Ozil turned up in style for the Gunners with a relentless performance, however, his neat piece of deception went relatively unnoticed until recently.

In the build up to the second goal, Ozil made an initial movement that indicated he was about to make a run for goal. Noticing this, Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen planted his feet in order to block Ozil instead of following the ball.

His brief indecision left Alexandre Lacazette unmarked, which was cleverly exploited by Hector Bellerin’s through ball. Lacazette then proceeded to assist Sanchez with the goal.

Arsenal supporters were clearly enthralled by the German playmaker’s presence of mind and ingenuity, and will be hoping he continues to display such sublime skills in future games.
