Sheffield United found themselves just two points adrift of EFL Championship table toppers Wolverhampton Wanderers, after securing a 3-1 victory against Burton Albion on Saturday night.
The highlight of the victory was the Blades’ captain Billy Sharp’s second goal of the match, thanks to a brilliant assist from American centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers.
The 19-year-old Carter-Vickers is a product of Tottenham’s youth academy system, and is currently on loan at Sheffield United.
The Spurs loan man exquisitely placed a through ball from the halfway line to beat the open Burton defence and found Sharp near the penalty box, who proceeded to tuck it past the goalkeeper for the team’s second goal in the 34th minute.
