After a 4-1 thumping at the hand of Championship table leaders Wolverhampton earlier this week, Leeds United secured a much needed 2-0 win against Barnsley on Saturday.
Apart from the two first-half goals, scored by Samuel Sáiz and Ezgjan Alioski respectively, the other major highlight of the game involved Leeds United goalkeeper, Felix Wiedwald.
The German goalie, replacing Andy Lonergan in the first team, had trouble with the sunlight in his eyes during the match, and was helped out by a Leeds fan who lent him his hat.
Wiedwald expressed his gratitude after the match by giving away his shirt, as well as posing for photographs with his timely benefactor, which along with the team’s victory, must surely have been double delight for the fan.
