Veteran Rangers defender Bruno Alves put in an impressive shift on his first start under interim manager Graeme Murty as Rangers recorded a resounding 3-0 win over Aberdeen on Thursday.
The 36-year-old, making a return from a back injury was instrumental in helping Rangers keep a clean sheet with a dominant performance at the back. Apart from the obvious job of putting in the tackles and marshalling the defence, Alves also came up with what was a superb clearance turned no-look pass towards the end of the first half.
A spectacular passage of passing from Aberdeen saw Stevie May dangerously marauding down on the wing only for the ever-vigilant Alves to intercept the pass with the back of his head.
