Mesut Ozil is certainly making a convincing case for a new and improved contract after adding to his impressive showing during the NLD with another eloquent performance against Huddersfield.

Ozil’s goal and two assists during a four-minute second-half blitz justified his demands for better wages and should have Arsene Wenger concerned with the German being out of contract this summer amidst interest from a host of top clubs.

After setting one up on a plate for Alexis Sanchez, the playmaker got a chance to get on the scoresheet himself and boy did he take it well.

Ramsey did well to find Ozil from deep in the 72nd minute and the German showboating his array of technical abilities deftly lifted the ball over goalkeeper Jonas Lossl.
