Normally, it is frowned upon when football players exhibit any sort of admiration for their opposition players, especially for those who were instrumental in the destruction of their team.
But that was exactly what happened last night after Liverpool’s 5-1 drubbing of Brighton & Hove Albion.
In a photograph doing the rounds on social media recently, two Brighton players, one of whom appears to be midfielder Beram Kayal, are seen approaching Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah for autographs.
The scene is truly a testament of the 25-year-old Egyptian’s current popularity, who has scored 12 goals and made 3 assists in 15 Premier League games this season.
Salah’s excellent form has run parallel with the team’s performances so far this season as the new signing was involved in a brilliant move before Liverpool’s second goal, and provided the assist for the third.
