Arsenal had never gone without scoring for more than three games in Europe and they responded well in their final game of the group stage by putting 6 past Bate Borisov last night.
Arsene Wenger made 11 changes to his side and even though the game was a dead rubber for the team as they had already topped the group, it was a good chance for the likes of Giroud, Wilshere and Welbeck to stake their claim for a spot in the starting 11.
And boy does Giroud want that spot! Besides scoring stunning goals, the Frenchman is also known for putting together beautiful passes. Giroud made sure of his reputation as he made another peach of a pass to Walcott last night.
Would have surely been a memorable goal for the fans as this flick from Giroud over the top of the BATE defenders was pure filth.
