Watford’s dramatic 2-1 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace last night must have definitely left fans disappointed, but it came at a much greater expense for Troy Deeney.
The Watford skipper was subjected to some grade-A trolling courtesy of Arsenal fans after he botched up a ridiculously simple tap-in on the face of Palace’s goal.
Gunners fans thoroughly enjoyed the moment due to animosity towards Deeney, as he had previously accused them of lacking “cojones” after beating them at Vicarage Road earlier this season.
Incidentally, Deeney has managed to score just one goal in six games (which was also from a penalty) ever since he ranted out against Arsenal.
The striker’s poor form peaked with his miss of the season last night, and it was only expected of Gooners to have a ball (pun intended) hitting back at him for it.
