The early season dread around Goodison Park seems to have died down following the appointment of Sam Allardyce.

The former England manager has overseen a change in fortunes for the Merseyside club who were hovering just above the relegation spots two months ago.

The move seems to have worked as Big Sam has overseen a drastic improvement in performances as well as results with the Blues sitting comfortably at 10th spot in the points table.

Players have responded well to the 63-year-old’s methods which have been subject to criticism in the past with the manager receiving stick for his defensive tactics, often setting up his sides deep in their own half with the impetus placed on preventing the opposition from scoring rather than scoring themselves.

Everton players however seem to be completely on board with their manager’s philosophy and many players were caught on cameras engaging in less than chivalrous actions to win all three points against Newcastle during the week.

Out of many incidents, the actions of Jonjoe Kenny during the final stages of the match has particularly caught the attention of fans online.

With the clock winding down and Everton hanging onto an early Wayne Rooney goal, the youngster certainly didn’t look like he was in any hurry to resume play after the ball went out of bounds near the technical area in the 89th minute.

Everton fans seemed to enjoy watching the young defender’s gestures near the touchline as he looked like a disoriented toddler unable to gather the ball on two separate occasions which irked the wrath of Toon players.
