Hoops fans were heard chirping again as the reigning champions got back to winning ways against Partick Thistle yesterday.
Celtic players seemed to have moved on from the disappointment of their shambolic defeat at Tynecastle Park and produced a strong performance in the solid 2-0 victory.
Celtic Park was heard buzzing again after midfielder Stuart Armstrong’s long range rocket and a well worked Kierney Tierney goal took Celtic five points clear at the top of the points table.
Thistle players were obviously disappointed with the defeat which condemned the visitors to the foot of the table and perhaps let their frustrations get the better of them during the dying embers of the game.
After watching the ball go out of bounds following a poor first touch midfielder Gary Fraser vented out his frustrations by thumping the ball into the lower section of the home crowd striking an unfortunate onlooker.
Medical officers rushed in to help the fan and the referee immediately produced a yellow card for the shameful gesture but Celtic players were still far from happy with the midfielder.
After skipper Scott Brown confronted the 23-year-old, Celtic players followed suit clashing into the midfielder at every opportunity reminding the Scot of his mistake.
