Football games over the holiday season have a unique charm about them. The weekend’s game at Elland Road was no exception as the 37,000 seater stadium was packed to its capacity.
Prior to the Peacock’s clash with Hull City, the club had asked fans to bring their scarves to the next two home games to show their support.
Scarves are even being sold at half price at the club store to encourage supporters to participate in the event. Moreover, in line with Christmas charity spirit, all proceeds from the sales will be going to the Leeds United Foundation.
Come Saturday afternoon, and the fans answered the clarion call.
As the two teams walked onto the pitch with “Marching on Together” blaring in the background, fans were seen swinging their scarves in the air, creating an atmosphere that’s hard to rival anywhere in England.
