It’s tough for football fans when their favorite player leaves for greener pastures but it’s a different kind of sorrow when the manager leaves for your rivals.

Barnsley fans are experiencing something very similar as manager Paul Heckingbottom is all set to join Leeds United after Andrea Radrizzani & co. activated his recall clause yesterday.

Heckingbottom has been a favorite with the Barnsley faithful as his stint as caretaker manager back in 2015 saw the club win the first cup final since 1912.

The predicament is real and a Barnsley fan summed up the situation with a hilarious analogy on a forum. Check out the screenshot of the analogy below –

  1. hecky can’t be a true red because he would not consider going to Leeds .all this bigger club money crap it’s not like he’s on breadline is it thinks of before he gets chop . Get someone in who cares about club i.e. Bobbyhassle true red could hav gone to Leeds yrs ago but showed loyalty.

    1. You can not keep selling your best Players and rebuild every season it’s impossible.
The board should have given HIM at least a three year contract, not a 12 month rolling one
And you would not change your job for a hell of a lot more money.
There is no loyal people in Football ,There are not many any ware.

  2. I Do have some sympathy for the Barnsley fans, But thats football and its sometimes a very unfair sport. I just hope that Hecky gets on with the job at Leeds and brings us the success we need.
    Best of luck to him
If it helps we could sent Orta to Barnsley as a swap (Please)
