Olivier Giroud certainly raised some eyebrows when the Frenchman moved to join Antonio Conte at Chelsea in January after spending 6 years at the Emirates.

The 31-year-old’s decision now seems justified as he struck his 4th goal in Chelsea blue after scoring from a brilliant solo effort during the FA Cup clash against Southampton.

The Frenchman received the ball from Eden Hazard, outmuscled and dribbled past three defenders before calmly poking the ball past flailing keeper Alex McCarthy to take Chelsea into the lead just 30 seconds after the restart at Wembley.

Fast gaining a reputation for scoring breathtaking goals, the brilliant solo goal from Giroud looked to be a bit too much for for the Southampton players to bear it seems as a brilliant photo from the game shows 3 Saints player on the ground as the Frenchman went celebrating his goal.
