Arsenal shared the spoils in the first leg of their Europa League semifinal clash against Atletico Madrid in a largely one sided contest, dominated by the North London side.
The Gunners would have been disappointed with just one goal to show after firing 28 shots at the opposing net on the night. And the feeling worsened after a late away goal from Antoine Griezmann in the 82nd minute.
With the away goal, the draw gives Atletico Madrid a slight advantage going into the second leg to be held at the Wanda Metropolitano.
However, Arsenal’s January signing, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang praised the supporters and his teammates for producing a great display. Aubameyang, who is ineligible to play for Arsenal in Europa League this season further added that that he was confident about Arsenal’s chances in the second leg.
