Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of securing Champions League qualification for next season. Off the field, more than 2100 workers are working day and night redeveloping White Hart Lane for next season. The new £850m stadium is scheduled to open in time for the 2018/19 season.

The new 62,000-seater stadium would be the largest stadium in England after Wembley & Old Trafford and the Spurs fans have been waiting eagerly to witness Harry Kane & co. tear it up in the new stadium.

Much to the delight of Spurs fans on Twitter, football stadium photographer David Shields gave a glimpse of the new stadium recently.

  1. My wife and I visited Tottenham’s new stadium construction site all the way from Australia in August of last year. The south stand was non existent. Wow what a difference 8 months makes. Cant wait until I return in 2019. COYS

    1. What difference will a new ground make? You’ll still be mid-table makeweights, dreaming of winning the UEFA Cup or whatever the make do’s trophy is called these days.
