When Jurgen Klopp arrived in October 2015, Liverpool fans were hoping that the German would bring the glory days and famous European nights back to Anfield.

It has now been two and a half years since his appointment as the manager of Liverpool FC and he has done exactly that with Liverpool on the cusp of winning their sixth European Cup after qualifying for the Champions League final for just the second time in the last 11 years.

The charismatic manager’s stature has grown substantially among the Liverpool fans, particularly because of the “heavy metal” football style he has brought to Anfield and the 50-year-old is slowly becoming a cult figure at the club.

While matters on the field have been brilliant more or less, off the field too, the German has shown his class with a substantial and generous donation towards a charity marathon run organized by Liverpool’s sporting director Michael Edwards.

Liverpool’s current CEO Peter Moore and former CEO Ian Ayre have also contributed to the philanthropic cause. Check out the German’s whopping donation in the snap below –
