Tottenham qualified for the Champions League for the third consecutive season after they defeated Newcastle United 1-0 in a gritty encounter where Harry Kane’s sublime curler five minutes after the restart made all the difference.

Spurs players were ecstatic after successfully securing qualification in Europe’s most prestigious competition and were delighted to put their disappointing loss to West Brom behind.

Assistant manager Jesus Perez, who has been a pivotal part in Mauricio Pochettino’s backroom staff was quick to take to social media to express his happiness after Spurs’ win against the Magpies.

However, the 46-year-old Spaniard ended up creating a hilarious mistake when he apparently used the wrong emoji in his tweet after the match.
