Tottenham secured a Champions League berth for next season as Pochettino’s side somehow managed to grab all three points against the Toons at Wembley yesterday.

With Chelsea stuttering against Huddersfield earlier in the day, the victory all but guarantees European football for Spurs ahead of their final game against Leicester City next week.

While Harry Kane was the man who finally broke the deadlock early into the second half, it was Argentine winger Erik Lamela who managed to entertain the Spurs supporters with some mesmerizing moves during the otherwise drab encounter.

The 26-year-old turned on the style as he recovered from a tight spot near the touchline by embarrassing DeAndre Yedlin with a filthy nutmeg.
